I NEED answers... please??

Hey, so you've got a pretty massive track here. You should submit your stuff to UKFdubstep!

Anyway, It will KILL me if you keep this a secret... (I may actually cry to death) I must know at LEAST what VST(s) you are using for your wubbies...

I thank you in advance for your response as I see you care about your audience by responding!

oh, and I <3 your work! =D

TheBiocide responds:

Thanks man! I might give that a shot :)

I used Sonalksis Flux Solera, Albino 3, u-he- ACE, Ohmnisphere and Alchemy.
(Kidding, I used Massive, Nexus, and Sylenth :3)

Yeah, I do like to respond to comments. If someone cares enough to write me a review then the least I can do is respond, right? :)

Anyhow, thanks again for your comment, man. And good luck finding the right VST, there's plenty of good ones out there!

Perfection?

The DEPTH of your bass is freakishly HUGE. This is honestly the deepest soundstage I've ever heard on my Audio Technica's. The bass just goes arround from teh front to the back of my head unlike I've ever ehard in Dub Step before, I think you must be using verious degrees of stereo separation to accomplish this on each synth. Very well executed to say the least!

This is one of my favourite dub-step songs of all time. I love the soft piano in there too. Very VERY well done!

dietsnapple135 responds:

Thanks! :D I try to pack in a lot of bass into my stuff. I usually compress my drum kicks to get a lot of bass movement, and this song has a lot of drums going on, so that might contribute to it. I'm glad it sounds good, because I like to get an opinion on as many sound systems as possible so I can learn to mix stuff to be good on any system :D I really appreciate the review ^.^!

Low pass??

I'm currious as to what effects tyou are throwing at it. It sounds like you are adding an LP filter but I can't tell what else you have going on, are you panning the wobbles too?

Very good eitherway. Nice slow mix!

e991e responds:

There is a low pass, high pass, not too much panning in this at all though. My mixer was packed with tons of effects at the end of this.. it was a mess.
try lovephilter preset "twinkle" it can add a nice effect to a background noise if you experiment with it.

wow...

That is some sound you got going on here.... You must have been making Dub-Step for a while now. The sound stage is huge here. This sounds like a 320kbps song.

Good work I must say. Props.

Reasoner?

Sounds like this was heavily infulenced by reasoner. Just listen to his "A walk Down the Trail".

I like this sound here. Drums are a little "loopy" but meh, you did post it as a loop.... lol

Maverlyn responds:

I'm heavily influenced by Newgrounds :)

Infulence.

I get a strong vibe that this song was kinda influenced by "Streamline" it's just the feeling I get, Lemme know if it's true. Good tune here, I like your sounds, a little stereo separation might have given it a little more edge. Overall, I would like to hear what you come up with in the future :D

SUB4RU responds:

Yeah, definitely more to come in the future! Never heard of "Streamline", can you PM me artist name or youtube link?

Klunks.

This is a good idea. It's kinda a mini medley, and I like it for what it is, but the klunky beat, rough bass, and lack of mastering really hamper this from its potential.

It needs to be EQ'd to get rid of the clipping that starts at at 2:19. And some mastering to help even all these sounds out.

Just had to review.

You have an amazing sound here. Bassy without the annoying clipping that often is associated. Very smooth. and the la-le-lu-le-lo is so pro! One of the most amazing drops I've ever heard.

Dub isn't my fav genre ever, but something like this can't be overlooked! Great mix! faved.

Don't listen to below review... the poor person has no ears... must have been a birth defect...

I enjoyed it. Simple, clean sounding. Sounds kinda like it uses a midi sound bank.

Shanath responds:

I was starting to wonder why I was getting reviews all of a sudden for no reason. I just realized this song made it to the front page. Haha, something that won't last for long most probably.

I'm glad you like it for what it is. One can't please everyone, so those kind of comments are to be expected. Thank you for the kind words, though.

Line Out

lol, you recorded with hypercam?!?! years ago I couldn't save export with a demo software so I recorded through the Line Out on my computer. The quality was about the same as a 64 bit rate MP3 file, so it worked better than basically any attempt to record with mics or anything.

kazumazkan responds:

yeah hypercam is what i used but line out i'll try that

thanks
